From press release
Toy Box Productions is extremely proud to present another delicious creation, their fourth: a musical comedy about the struggle to lose weight, in association with The Toronto Fringe Festival:
“How I Lost One Pound, The Musical”
Inspired by true events, this comedic romp is a collection of songs and monologues about our obsession with the scale, our image of our bodies and the yearning to be less horizontally challenged. Written and directed by Lesley Carlberg, “How I Lost One Pound, The Musical” is Toy Box’s fourth comedy production in the Toronto Fringe Theatre Festival. Lesley teams up with 8 chronic dieters, 4 talented musicians and 2 esteemed choreographers, one amazing stage manager and a cute little assistant and invites the audience to sit back, relax and become inspired to believe that we are all beautiful and awesome despite our shape or size.
