Authors at Harbourfront – September 24, 2009

In the spirit of theatre being far more than just play, but that there is so much more in this world that can be theatrical.  Including readings.  So, with that in mind – here’s a press release for you:

AUTHORS AT HARBOURFRONT CENTRE HOSTS MARGARET ATWOOD’S FIRST TORONTO APPEARANCE FOR HER HIGHLY ANTICIPATED NEW NOVEL

Authors at Harbourfront Centre (AUTHORS) is proud to announce world-renowned author Margaret Atwood in a special event celebrating her highly anticipated new novel, The Year of the Flood.

In her first Toronto appearance to introduce her new work, Atwood uses the historical Cathedral Church of St. James (65 Church Street) to set the mood for a dramatic reading with music; directed by Canadian theatre director and playwright Alisa Palmer.

This event takes place on September 24, 2009 at 7:30pm. Tickets are $10. Proceeds from this event support Nature Canada, and books will be available for purchase through Ben McNally Books. Information regarding Atwood’s national tour will be issued by McClelland & Stewart in a press release slated for the week of August 17, 2009.
