Dungeons and Dragons (not) The Musical (Praxis Theatre) 2011 Toronto Fringe Review

Do you have a tendency towards nerdiness? Check out Dungeons and Dragons (not) The Musical, which is playing in the basement of Snakes and Lattes. It`s a six hour show, but you aren`t expected to stay the entire time – you can come and go as you please, although they won’t let more than 20 people in at once. The performers and the show will be different every time – it is the nature of the game.

She Said What Happened (She Said What) 2011 Fringe Review

She Said What Happened is the perfect pick me up for a bad day. In fact now that I think about it, I can’t say enough about how much I loved this show. You walk into a theatre with a large stage with three clothes racks on stage. The racks feature a variety of colourful outfits and props.

The girls make an entrance amidst flashing lights, and some impressive dance moves, followed by an introduction that had the audience in stitches by the time they were through. Featuring dancing, a crazy assortment of costumes, and three extremely talented women, She Said What Happened is akin to watching an episode of Saturday Night Live.

So I Married a Muslim (SanMan Productions) 2011 Toronto Fringe Review


Sandra Pascuzzi says that by doing this show she is trying to combat islamophobia that exists, which I commend her for. Unfortunately that didn’t work for me in her show So I Married A Muslim.

Sandra seems like a lovely woman and I am happy she found true love that crosses cultural  boundaries but I am afraid I just didn’t find the story all that interesting; I wanted to get more into the politics and social differences, but it was all a little too personal and not so universal for me.  Continue reading So I Married a Muslim (SanMan Productions) 2011 Toronto Fringe Review
