We’re rounding out the final days of the Toronto Fringe Festival and though there aren’t many days left, there’s still plenty of great theatre to see.
And plenty of ways to win tickets to see great theatre for free with our Fringe for Free contests!
Every day of the festival, we give out tickets to to 5 shows. And entering is easy as pie. More details on how to do so are posted below.
You need to enter each contest individually. If we pick your name, you’ve won two tickets! Yay for free tickets!

Contest Rules:
To enter, send an email to contests@mooneyontheatre.com. Please put the show’s title in the subject line, and ensure we have your full name in the body. (We promise that your email address will not be used for any other purpose: it will not be added to any mailing lists, sold to third parties, or anything like that.)
- Each email counts as a single entry. If you want to enter all 5 contests, you must send 5 emails.
- Tickets are non-transferable and are only for the date and time indicated below. Tickets may not be exchanged. Please ensure you can attend the performance listed.
- All entries must be received by 7 PM on the day before the performance. The drawing will be held at 9 PM, and winners will be informed immediately. Winners are required to confirm their attendance by 10 AM on the morning of the performance.
- Tickets will be held in your name at the venue box office, available 1 hour before the performance. Tickets will only be held until 15 minutes before curtain: any comps left unclaimed at that juncture may be sold.

Meet Frank and Bill. Frank’s taller, but Bill has the nicer suit. The two men are locked in a fierce competition to determine who is the better man. Each match is refereed by a beautiful woman who holds a dark secret from their past. As their competition becomes more desperate, the reasons for their rivalry become clear.

The Emergency Monologues is a storytelling adventure about being a downtown paramedic. Based on his years of EMS experience, you’ll hear about the gritty, ridiculous, bizarre and true side of the “emergencies” that don’t make the news. It’s hard to believe how hard you’ll laugh at stories about blood, vomit and poo, but comedy=(tragedy+time) X gross.

As a lawyer Lwam has fought for the underdog. As a son of Eritrean immigrants he is fascinated by developments in Eritrea. As an actor he stumbled into a war on the arts, appearing on the cover of the Toronto Sun with the labels “terrorist” and “devil”. Through storytelling and comedy, he weaves together these and other experiences, creating humour and hope.
