Fringe for Free! Toronto Fringe Ticket Giveaways for Shows on Saturday, July 2nd

fringe-for-free-graphicWe’re heading into the first weekend of the Toronto Fringe Festival and surely all you savvy theatre-goers are getting the jump on the crowds and checking out shows this weekend and not waiting until all the most popular shows are sold out next weekend, right?

Well as an incentive to get out there and see some theatre we’re running a draw for free tickets to five Fringe shows playing this Saturday so click “Read More” for the contest rules and a little something about the 5 shows we’ve got lined up for Saturday, July 2.

Contest Rules

To enter, send an email to contests@mooneyontheatre.com. Please put the show’s title in the subject line, and ensure we have your full name in the body. (We promise that your email address will not be used for any other purpose: it will not be added to any mailing lists, sold to third parties, or anything like that.)

  • Each email counts as a single entry. If you want to enter all 5 contests, you must send 5 emails.
  • Tickets are non-transferable and are only for the date and time indicated below. Tickets may not be exchanged. Please ensure you can attend the performance listed.
  • All entries must be received by 7 PM on the day before the performance. The drawing will be held shortly after closing, and winners will be informed immediately. Winners are required to confirm their attendance by 10 AM on the morning of the performance.
  • Tickets will be held in your name at the venue box office, available 1 hour before the performance. Tickets will only be held until 15 minutes before curtain: any comps left unclaimed at that juncture may be sold.

Life List

7:30 PM on July 2nd / ticketing tent at the Randolph Theatre. (736 Bathurst St.)

Before my mother died, she left me her life list —
a little silver book of bird sightings.
She challenged me to keep the list growing.
Now, a rare bird has been spotted near the Fringe.
Come help this fledgling birdwatcher find it!
Life List is a storytelling walking tour.

A young woman disappears, the world is cast into a lethal winter, and everyone’s version of the story is a little different. In the face of trauma, Persephone struggles to make sense of her own experience. A story of sexual awakening, coming of age, and a fight for autonomy when Persephone’s caught between a mother and a husband who both seek to own her.

A girl gets hit by a mannequin falling from the sky and becomes an overnight internet sensation. #MannequinGirl: The Musical follows the unlikely friendship between a fame obsessed wannabe socialite and the inanimate object that almost killed her. A hilarious twist on the classic tale of woman meets man…nequin.

Europe, 1916. The world has gone mad. Several years into a bloody war of attrition and faced with near certain annihilation at the hands of a technologically superior enemy, a fighter pilot flees battle to neutral Switzerland where, through discovery of the Cabaret Voltaire, the birthplace of Dadaism, he untangles the implications of his decision.
