Sometimes it can be fun to go see theatre that’s entirely based on the writer’s imagination – they might be set in the real world, but the characters and events are all made up. Review: Bloody Family (The Theatre Centre/Philip McKee + Tanja Jacobs)

The Theatre Centre presents updated Greek mythology-inspired play Bloody Family in Toronto

War destroys families. And people who haven’t lived through the horrors of war can’t hope to understand the true pain of that. That was my main takeaway from The Theatre Centre’s production of Bloody Family, a modern take on the ancient Greek trilogy, The Orestia.

Cheap Theatre for the Week of September 23rd, 2014

Sometimes shows run for what seems like ages – in fact, the Lion King musical has officially made more money than any piece of entertainment in history. Some other shows only play for one night.
