War of the Clowns – Toronto Fringe 2011 Press Release

From the company that created the sold-out Fringe favorites: Conservatives in Love, The Barbecue King, The Venetian Elopement, and Playballs. Fringe pioneers Pea Green Theatre Group proudly return to the festival with our 8th Fringe production: War of the Clowns.

This 17th Century period piece is a stylistic blend of Dario Fo and Alfred Jarry. Though set in the distant past the message is a familiar and contemporary one: “Let’s kill all the clowns!”

Cancer Can’t Dance Like This with a Fringe Twist!

Toronto, Ontario – After two failed attempts and a bout with cancer, Daniel Stolfi is bringing his one-man show Cancer Can’t Dance Like This to the 2011 Toronto Fringe Festival.

In January of 2008, Daniel Stolfi, Andrew Ferguson and Michael Chudnovsky got into the 2008 Toronto Fringe Festival. The boys began their creation process by filming rehearsals to create their show. Unfortunately, in March of 2008 Daniel Stolfi was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Lymphoma and had to undergo two years of chemotherapy. The show was cancelled and pulled from the Fringe. Daniel then underwent the hardest time of his life.
